With Social Planner’s new LinkedIn feature, you can now upload PDFs, convert images to carousel posts, and maximize your engagement. Discover how to leverage this popular format for standout LinkedIn posts.
What's New: Linkedin Carousel Post and Post PDF as photos

Social Planner has launched an exciting new feature designed to enhance how users engage their audience on LinkedIn. With the ability to upload PDFs as LinkedIn posts or convert PDFs into carousel-style images, Social Planner is expanding content options, making it easier to create high-impact LinkedIn posts.

Why Use LinkedIn Carousel Posts?

LinkedIn PDF Carousels are gaining popularity as a unique way to deliver information. A recent study by Richard van der Blom and BlissPoint Consulting shows that LinkedIn PDF carousels receive 2.2 to 3.4 times more reach than traditional text or image posts. This feature can help businesses and professionals highlight expertise, engage followers, and expand their reach on LinkedIn.

How to Use Social Planner to Create LinkedIn Carousel Posts

  1. Navigate to Social Planner
Go to Marketing > Social Planner in FirstDirect360.
  2. Connect Your LinkedIn Account
Choose to link either a LinkedIn page or a personal profile.
  3. Create a New Post
In the Social Planner composer, select “New Post” and choose LinkedIn Carousel or Document Post from the options.
  4. Upload Your Content
Use the file upload icon (located between the image and video icons) to add PDFs or images to your post. You can upload multiple PDFs, import photos, and convert them into a single PDF for LinkedIn, or break PDFs into separate images.
  5. Customize Your Content
Rename the PDF, add watermarks, and preview the post before publishing.

Key Notes for Posting on LinkedIn

  • Document Limitations: LinkedIn allows a maximum of 300 pages and up to 100 MB per document.
  • Image Conversion: PDFs are automatically converted to images when imported into Social Planner, and Instagram images are cropped to fit its aspect ratio.
  • Media Management: Easily delete any media by hovering over it and clicking the ‘X’ that appears.

Take advantage of these new features in Social Planner to connect with your LinkedIn audience in more engaging ways. Try uploading a PDF carousel or convert your photos into a polished PDF today!
