WhatsApp conversations have been upgraded to support richer and more dependable media messaging in the new Conversations UI. These enhancements make it easier to send files with context, work with more file formats, and manage shared assets directly inside the CRM.

Send Media with Captions
You can now include captions when sending WhatsApp media. Captions work when uploading files directly from the composer or attaching files from media storage. When multiple files are sent together, the message text is automatically applied as the caption, keeping media messaging clear and easy to understand.
Expanded File Sharing Support
WhatsApp media now supports all file types allowed by the WhatsApp Business API. This includes images, videos, audio files, and common document formats. The expanded file sharing support removes previous limitations and allows teams to send the files customers actually need.
Media Storage Inside WhatsApp
Media storage is now fully accessible within WhatsApp conversations. You can attach existing assets without re-uploading, keep original filenames intact, and send multiple stored files in a single message. This streamlines media messaging and keeps conversations consistent.
Preserve Important Media
WhatsApp attachments can expire over time, but shared media now remains compatible with Add to Documents. This allows important files, images, and customer assets to be saved securely in the CRM for long-term access.
Improved Reliability
Several stability improvements enhance daily media messaging. Duplicate media issues are resolved, document thumbnails display correctly, text and attachments send together cleanly, filenames display properly for recipients, and the composer layout is more consistent when combining links and file sharing.
