Overview
Calendar privacy has been enhanced for accounts accessed using the Login As functionality. Third-party events now consistently honor privacy controls, even when viewed through elevated access, keeping sensitive details protected at all times.
What’s New
When using Login As access:
• The Hide third-party event details setting is no longer visible in Calendar Settings or My Profile
• Third-party events always display as Busy and never reveal details
• Event details remain visible only to the original event owner
These updates ensure calendar privacy is enforced regardless of access level.
Original Behavior Remains Unchanged
Outside of Login As access, calendar privacy works the same as before:
• When Hide third-party event details is ON, all third-party events appear as Busy to others
• When Hide third-party event details is OFF, only private third-party events appear as Busy
This ensures Login As enhancements do not alter the normal experience for end users.
Why It Matters
This update strengthens calendar privacy and security by protecting third-party events across all access methods. It ensures sensitive calendar data stays private while maintaining familiar behavior for everyday scheduling and collaboration.
